About Section 10

Welcome to The View from Section 10, a blog devoted to sports, entertainment and my observations on all things life and popular culture.

Why Section 10? Well, that's the section where I sit in Allen Fieldhouse, the loudest college basketball arena in the country, according to ESPN The Magazine. And, it's a perfect vantage point for my observations--I've not only been a spectator since those very young days when my father and mother started taking me to various college and professional events, but I've long been a fan, one who sweats out each game, who frets about what crimson-and-blue ensemble to wear, and who is happy to just be in the building when my team is playing.

The name of this blog is also a metaphor for observing life--the highs, the lows; the wins and losses that occur in business, human behavior, leadership and culture. I hope you enjoy it.
